Um crescente burburinho na sala, aplausos, saem de cena mas sempre amparados sobre as suas personagens, difusas, com a nitidez em relance, segundos contados onde se adensam histórias em suspenso. A autora explora o lugar imaginário em tangência com o ser, num processo onde o desenho é matéria viva de auto-descoberta, um meio ao encontro do seu próprio universo. Os lugares de Emma trazem o corpo em liberdade e o espaço em surdina, como o silêncio por detrás do turbilhão, a quietude no epítome da exaltação. É assim que me encontro, quando me perco nos seus trabalhos, incluso na acção, substância da narrativa, em pausa no acontecimento.
As vidas dos seres e das coisas, de uma figuração que é também abstracta, como abstracto é o corpo impreciso que se transforma em dança, em festas de movimento, a forma fragmentada, incompleta e nua.

There’s a growing buzz in the room, applauses, they leave the scene but stay in character, diffuse, a glimpse of clarity, the seconds are numbered and the dangling stories thicken. The author explores imaginary places in tangency with the being, in a process where drawing is a living matter of self-discovery, a means to reach its own universe. Emma's places bring freedom to shapes in a muted space, like the silence behind a whirlwind, the stillness in the epitome of exaltation. That's how I find myself when I get lost in her works, included in the action, substance of the narrative, paused in the event.
The lives of beings and things, figurative yet abstract, as abstract is the imprecise figure morphed into dance, festivities of movement, the fragmented form, incomplete and naked.
